これって、クラプトンがパティ（クラプトンの前妻、当時はジョージ・ハリスンの奥さんだった人）を口説くために書いた曲らしいね。
ダンナ（ジョージ）がインド音楽に没頭したせいでほったらかしにされて落ち込んだ彼女がクラプトンに相談を持ちかけて、その後クラプトンの方が本気になってしまったとかいう、なんかどっかで聞いたような話。
　
最初のサビのあとのフレーズにある old man てのが多分ジョージ。
パティはジョージと別れてクラプトンと再婚。しかしその後いろいろあってクラプトンとも離婚。
一方でジョージとクラプトンは（ジョージが死ぬまで）ずっと親友だった。
　
人間関係ってなかなか思うとおりにはいかないよね。。。
